Jamie is not accepting new clients.
Therapy, at best, provides an opportunity for a secure attachment to form. I am committed to doing everything I can to foster a secure attachment with my clients, supervisees, students, and community. I believe that just about all relationships require a certain amount of risk. It takes courage to share personal details of your life stories with another person. I believe that we have opportunities to heal through relationships where we are accepted and honored for exactly who we are as individuals.
In my current professional world, I continue to see a small caseload of therapy clients, provide supervision and consultation for therapists who are pursuing sex therapy certification through AASECT, teach as an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at Converse University’s Marriage & Family Therapy graduate program, collaborate with other sexual health providers to develop educational programs for our community, and I am determined to finish writing a book that I’ve been working on about sex and communication.
Although I cannot take any new therapy clients at this time, I am delighted to serve the community by providing a space for members of the community to see therapists whom I know are sex-positive, trauma and intersectional-feminist informed, and all-around amazing humans. Creating Out of the Woods Therapy has been one of the accomplishments I am most proud of in my life.
