Caroline Wilson, LCSW - our wonderful Clinical Director

Felix is going to need a whole lot of therapy after a week in a cone.

For help with narrowing down your options…

Seeking therapy or any kind of care can be an overwhelming process. We try our best to make this an easier endeavor whenever we can.

Our clinical director, Caroline Wilson, is a great person to contact if you want to narrow down your options for providers in our practice.

We are as transparent as we can be about pricing and insurance for each provider. And each one of our therapists or practitioners manages their own schedule directly with clients and potential clients. Caroline can simply point you in the direction of options and then you can reach out to the therapist(s) from there.

It’s helpful for Caroline to know the following information when you email her:

  • if you need to use insurance that you are hoping to use for therapy, mention what insurance company holds your policy

  • if you have a specific request for a type of service, specialization, or any other considerations that are relevant to the care you’re seeking

  • whether you are seeking therapy for yourself as an individual or if you are seeking relational therapy

  • email is not a completely secure form of communication and therefore please don’t share any sensitive information through email that might put you in any type of risk

  • if you have certain days/times that you are available for potential therapy sessions, that is always helpful, too.

  • if you require in-person sessions, telehealth, or if you are flexible with either option

Caroline may have a therapist or a short list of therapists/providers from our practice or in the community to offer as suggestions for you based on what you share. She may even reach out to the whole staff to see who has current openings with the criteria you mention (especially in the case of needs for specific session time availability). If she does reach out to the whole group, none of your identifying information will be shared.

Here is an example of what an email inquiry to Caroline could look like, using a mashup of a hypothetical example and my cat’s name:

Hi, my name is Felix and I am a 23 year old queer cis male and I am looking for a therapist who can work with me individually. I have some extended family issues going on and would like to work with a therapist who can help me learn to put up boundaries with my family as I explore my own identity. I have Blue Cross insurance. And I am only available for therapy sessions on Mondays. I prefer to work with someone online.
